Karta is a card game inspired by classic RPGs, but with a twist: instead of traditional actions, It's your cards that make them

Core mechanic

The main mechanic is the card cycling. Every time you play a card, on your next turn, it gets replaced with three completely new cards. You’ll need to use this system strategically to defeat enemies. Each enemy you defeat will reward you with even more cards to expand your options (I have to warn you that some cards don't work as expected. So maybe some cards don't do what they're supposed to. :(  )

Controls

  • Navigate between your cards with the arrow keys ( / )
  • Play a card with z or c

Enemies

On your adventure, you will find a wide variety of enemies, from simple goblins to mighty dragons. Go hunt them down!

About the project

The idea for this project came when I thought about my favorite role-playing game, Dungeons & Dragons. In fact, the cards are the 12 classes from that game, and the enemies are just simple medieval monsters.

About me

I’m a 16-year-old teenager who loves tabletop games. One of my friends told me to join this Game Jam, And I accepted to try to create something interesting. This game mixes two of the things I love so much: tabletop games and classic turn-based RPGs. And when you put them together, you have a project that, in my opinion, is quite fun, and I hope you like it :)

Simple but addictive, with great visuals and sound effects. I missed some background music, but it's a great job <3 (i love the name)
